A Simple Cut is the Federation's grounds division, joined by Rebel Roots Landscaping for design and installation work. It is a disabled-veteran-owned lawn service built on one promise clients can actually verify: the crew arrives when it said it would, and the property looks the same standard every visit.

Routine maintenance is the backbone — weekly and biweekly mowing, edging, trimming, blowing and seasonal cleanups on published, transparent pricing with a mapped service area. Rebel Roots handles the heavier side: bed work, plantings, mulch and hardscape refresh, and custom projects that fall outside a maintenance plan.

The division runs an eco-friendly track for clients who want it, including chemical-free flame weeding and sustainable turf practices. It also publishes live operating conditions — WBGT heat flag, temperature, ground moisture and rain-work status for Virginia Beach — so customers can see for themselves why a crew is running early, late, or held for weather. Existing clients manage appointments, service history and payments through a dedicated customer portal, and the division publishes a seasonal newsletter covering spring cleanups and new services.
